Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Job Corps program is authorized by Title I-C of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (supersedes WIA 1998). For more information about the Job Corps program at a national level, please visit our Official Public Web Site.

At Wind River Job Corps Center, we support the Job Corps program's mission of teaching eligible young people the skills they need to become employable and independent and placing them in meaningful jobs or further education.

To help achieve this, Wind River Job Corps Center is overseen by the Dallas Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Management Training Corporation. Our Center Director is Julie Gassner.

Our Center's History
The Wind River Job Corps Center opened to much excitement and fanfare in October of 2015 and is the first Job Corps center in the state of Wyoming. The center is named after the nearby Wind River mountain range.

The jury is no longer "out" on the Job Corps. The verdict has been rendered, and the verdict is "well done" -- "well done" U.S. Congress, "well done" U.S. industry, U.S. labor, U.S. philanthropy, U.S. taxpayers, U.S. workers!
